About me
My name is Amir, but colloquially known as ARGOSTA among parallel universes. I have a formal education in B.Eng. Computer Engineering and M.Sc. Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering. This website mostly serves in a technical direction concerning software design and development; however, I sprinkle it with some existential and identity crisis poetry. Just for the fun of it.
Most of my day is spent tinkering and writing code, and the rest of it debugging what I tinkered and wrote. Other times I just sit and ponder on almost anything that my brain can handle. Speaking of brain, mine likes many, many things at once. To name a few: biology and complexity of life, consciousness and altered states of being, building hydroelectric dams for an off-grid house when I am 60, hands-on building and crafting real stuff, absurdity of humor and humor of absurdity, music and music always, and how to save my precious forest. Did I say a few? Well, you are on the “About Me” page; what did you expect?
I love hiking and bushcrafting. Some of my friends who have been in a camp with me can attest how much suffering we endured to get there and how much the elements loved to test our ability to stay sane. Still love it. Nothing makes me feel more alive than hiking in the worst conditions and weather, only to camp on the worst ground and spend the night with a particularly annoying version of Mother Nature (maybe her sister?). Some people call it survival camping, but I call it “why are we doing this?” and mostly enjoy overcoming suffering and the feeling of “we made it alive to tell that story”.
This is not finished! I need more time to express myself in a pretentious but cool manner…
